The Cleaning Solutions We Use on Chicago Carpets & Rugs

We do not cut corners on what goes into your rug. This page is a transparent look at the professional-grade pre-sprays, rinses, enzyme treatments, oxygen boosters, spotters, and deodorizers we trust on real jobs — and why each one earns its place.

Every product is matched to the fiber and the mess, with milder, pH-balanced solutions reserved for wool and natural-dye oriental rugs.

Why the products we use matter

You can follow a perfect cleaning process, but if the solutions going into the fibers are not right for the material and the mess, the result will not last — and on a delicate rug it can cause damage. That is why we standardize on a short list of proven, professional-grade solutions and match the right one to each job.

The solution categories we rely on

Pre-sprays

Loosen embedded soil and traffic-lane grime before extraction so dirt rinses out instead of being scrubbed in. Examples include Formula 90 and comparable professional pre-sprays.

Extraction rinse

Used in the extraction stage to neutralize the alkaline pre-spray, remove detergent residue, leave fibers soft, and help prevent resoiling. Examples include an all-fiber rinse.

Enzyme treatments

Used for urine, vomit, and other organic messes. Enzymes digest the source of the stain and odor instead of masking it.

Oxidizers

Oxygen and peroxide-based boosters for coffee, wine, yellowing, and browning that ordinary cleaning leaves behind.

Solvent spotters

Targeted removers for tar, gum, adhesive, and grease.

Deodorizers

Neutralize odors at the source and leave a clean, fresh finish.

Disinfectants & sanitizers

Reduce germs and bacteria on high-use surfaces for a healthier home.

Solutions for oriental rugs

Milder and pH-balanced, typically kept around 5.5 to 8.5, because wool and natural dyes can be damaged by high-pH products.
