Wall-to-wall carpet gets cleaned where it is. We use hot water extraction, which rinses the pile and pulls the soil and the treatment residue back out, instead of leaving it to dry in the carpet and attract dirt again.
A standard cleaning takes out dust, dirt, allergens and most stains. But not every carpet gets the same treatment. Wool and synthetic carpet need different approaches, and stains like pet urine and rust each need their own. We look at the fiber and the stains first, then pick the method.
We've been cleaning rugs and carpets in Chicago since 1989, using IICRC-certified methods and safe, eco-friendly products, and thousands of Chicago families have trusted us with their homes. The work is done by our own team, not subcontractors. Area rugs are a different story: those come to our facility for a full wash. See all our services.

How a Carpet Cleaning Goes
- 1
Look first
We check the fiber and the stains before anything else, so we use the right method for your carpet.
- 2
Pre-treat
Pet spots, rust and heavy traffic lanes get treated first, each with its own solution.
- 3
Hot water extraction
The pile is rinsed and the soil and residue are pulled back out.
- 4
Groom and dry
The pile is groomed and left to dry, usually in 6-12 hours. Opening windows or running fans speeds it up.
